Top honors went to Chinese medicine expert Zhang Boli, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and veteran filmmaker Sylvia Chang, who was presented the Special Tribute Award. Zhang said the global rise of traditional Chinese medicine rests on its proven clinical effectiveness, preventive philosophy of “treating pre illness,” and growing scientific validation. Cai Gao, 80, winner of the 2026 Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration, said her inspiration draws from the richness of Chinese culture.
