When asked if she would encourage her granddaughter or young women today to make the same choices she once did, she didn’t hold back. “I don’t want Navya to get married,” she said, making her stance instantly clear.           When the conversation shifted to whether she felt the institution of marriage itself had become irrelevant, Jaya agreed without hesitation.
