Afternoon shows reported a turnout of 38.48%, while morning shows had the lowest attendance at 18.18%. The opening day box office performance of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is notably lower in comparison to Kartik Aaryan's previous theatrical releases. For instance, his 2022 Diwali film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, achieved an opening day collection of Rs 14.11 crore, and Love Aaj Kal 2 earned Rs 12.4 crore on its opening day. In contrast, Satyaprem Ki Katha, which was also directed by Sameer Vidwans, collected Rs 9.25 crore on its opening day. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions, in collaboration with Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Bhumika Tewari, and Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishor Arora of Namah Pictures. The movie is directed by Sameer Vidwans, who previously directed Satyaprem Ki Katha (2023). This project marks Kartik Aaryan's first collaboration with Dharma Productions and his second with Namah Pictures and director Sameer Vidwans, after Satyaprem Ki Katha. On December 15, the makers submitted a revised version of the film to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to reports, the film's certified runtime is 145 minutes and 41 seconds, which is equivalent to 2 hours, 25 minutes, and 41 seconds. The story is based on two main characters who encounter each other during a vacation and eventually end up staying in the same location. Their initial friendship gradually evolves into a romantic relationship, before taking an emotional turn.
